How Apache Pizza Became Dublin's Favourite
Apache Pizza was born in 1996 with a simple belief: pizza should be made with real ingredients, real care, and real passion — every single time.
What started as a single takeaway in Dublin has grown into a beloved brand with dozens of locations across Ireland. Our apachepizza journey began when founder Ciaran Butler hand-rolled his first dough base in a small kitchen in Tallaght, determined to bring restaurant-quality pizza to every neighbourhood.
Today, Apache Pizza remains proudly Irish-owned and operated. We still use the same commitment to fresh, quality ingredients that Ciaran instilled from day one — locally sourced where possible, never frozen, and always made to order. Our stone-baked bases, hand-stretched dough, and signature sauces are crafted in-house every day at every location.
From our Old Bawn Shopping Centre location in Dublin to communities across Ireland, Apache Pizza is more than a takeaway — it's a tradition families return to, week after week.

1996
The First Slice
Ciaran Butler opens the very first Apache Pizza store in Tallaght, Dublin, with a hand-rolled dough recipe and a vision to make great pizza accessible to everyone.
2001
First Franchise Expansion
After five successful years, Apache Pizza launches its franchise programme, opening 10 new stores across Leinster and bringing the brand to new communities.
2007
Nationwide Reach
Apache Pizza crosses provincial borders and opens its 25th location in Cork, marking a significant milestone in becoming a truly all-Ireland pizza brand.
2012
Online Ordering Launch
We launch our digital ordering platform, making it easier than ever for customers to order Apache Pizza online — a first for Irish pizza delivery at scale.
2018
New Menu & Rebrand
Apache Pizza refreshes its brand identity and launches an expanded menu with gluten-free bases, vegan options, and bold new signature pizzas — keeping the menu exciting for a new generation.
